Salary: $170,000.00 USD Annually - $200,000.00 USD Annually
Description:
Education and Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree: Engineering, business, or a related field from an accredited university. Internal candidates with equivalent experience are also considered.
  • Preferred: Advanced degree in business or engineering.
  • Experience: Minimum of 12 years in Operations Management within a manufacturing environment, including a senior management role.
  • Industry Experience: Preferred background in the wire/cable industry, extrusion, steel industry, or related fields.
  • Lean and Six Sigma: Experience in implementing Lean and Six Sigma solutions is preferred.
  • Knowledge: Comprehensive understanding of Manufacturing, Production, Supply Chain, Warehouse, Distribution, and Logistics.
  • Language Skills: Proficiency in English (reading, writing, speaking) is required. Spanish is a plus.

Licenses or Certifications:

Lean and/or Six Sigma Certification: Highly desirable.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Customer Service: Ensure timely delivery of quality products to maintain effective customer relations.
  • Safety Culture: Promote a culture of safety, addressing both physical safety issues and employee safety attitudes. Maintain and improve housekeeping in all areas.
  • Operational Excellence: Lead operations to achieve Best-In-Class status using Lean/Six Sigma tools, focusing on Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost improvements.
  • Strategic Implementation: Implement manufacturing strategies and action plans to support strategic initiatives. Standardize good manufacturing practices and systems.
  • Business Objectives: Ensure business objectives and production schedules are met while exceeding customer expectations.
  • Best Practices: Share best practices within the team and across the organization.
  • Manufacturing Operations: Plan, organize, and direct manufacturing operations to ensure the most effective return on assets.
  • Cost Minimization: Initiate plans and processes to minimize manufacturing costs through effective utilization of resources.
  • Problem Solving: Establish accountabilities for problem-solving and cost reduction.
  • Innovation: Encourage the use of new techniques and fact-based problem solving.
  • Financial Management: Manage spending against budget and understand the financial health of the plant to positively impact profit and margins.
  • Employee Engagement: Establish management practices that include all employees in an engaged and participative working environment. Focus on employee development and succession planning.
  • Skill Maintenance: Keep individual skills up to date with the latest production and management concepts.
  • Talent Development: Hire and develop top talent, raise performance standards, and recognize exceptional talent. Develop leaders and coach others.
  • Compliance: Maintain plant property and equipment in good condition to ensure compliance with regulations and effective operation.
  • Policy Adherence: Ensure all plant operations comply with company policies, goals, and federal, state, and local regulations.

  • Computer Equipment and Software Requirements:
  • Microsoft Office: Advanced skills in MS Excel and PowerPoint.
  • ERP Systems: Strong experience with ERP systems.
  • Analytical Tools: Experience with tools like PowerBi, Tableau, Qlik, etc.
