The base salary range for this position is dependent upon experience and location, ranging from: $295,000 - $369,000.

Job Summary:
Oversees the safety, operational, financial, and environmental performance of NYSEG. The role involves steering the strategic direction of the utility, remaining customer focused while contributing to NYSEG's financial wellbeing. Leads a team responsible for maintenance and construction activities of the Electric Transmission and Distribution systems, Planning, Projects, Hydro and Energy Control Center(s) within the NYSEG jurisdiction. Works in conjunction, and acts as liaison, with Avangrid leadership to ensure best practice utilization and coordination among operating companies while ensuring that NYSEG objectives are met. Guarantees that NYSEG has a robust long-term operational plan (investments, technology, budgets) and a clear roadmap to deliver operational goals.
Actively participates, takes ownership and signs-off in all rate case proposals related to operations, planning and project construction at NYSEG, including implementation of objectives related to New York's Climate Leadership and Community Protection Act (CLCPA). Provides leadership and direction to achieve goals (operational and financial), implement change and foster efficiencies. Maintains awareness of state and federal legislation and policies and determines glidepath for integration into the business as appropriate.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, safety, reliability, customer satisfaction, cost-effective resource allocation, staff selection and development, process improvement and oversight, major project management, field operations activities and effective management of operational costs. Directs the activities related to problem resolution and emergency response with other functions. Represents NYSEG from an operational standpoint in all necessary instances (regulators, government, media, society, stakeholders, shareholder/owners, etc.).
