BD Parata's Global Platform team is seeking a Product Manager, Inventory Management & Pharmacy Workflow Solutions. Parata is a high-growth, strategic business in the Pharmacy Automation platform. BD Parata offers automation hardware, software and end-to-end central fill solutions that enable clinical, operational and financial improvements.
The Global Product Manager will be accountable for the portfolio lifecycle management of the IntelliCab™ Will-Call System, IntelliVault™ Controlled Substance Management System, Beacon® Workflow and Inventory Management and other ancillary products within Inventory Management & Pharmacy Workflow Solutions portfolio. This person will understand global customer requirements to determine the optimal global portfolio strategy and commercial execution plan to meet business objectives. This person will serve on the Core Team as the Marketing Lead for sustaining engineering R&D programs and partner with cross-functional members to ensure timely execution of milestones. This person will partner with the Regional Marketing teams to execute commercial excellence initiatives to achieve near-term and long-term business objectives and organizational plans.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop clear, fact-based product strategies based on rigorous customer insights and understanding of external trends, ensuring alignment with cross-functional and regional commercial partners to ensure achievement of financial/budget expectations.
- Define product lifecycle management (PLM) strategy for Inventory Management & Pharmacy Workflow Solutions- including simplification and end-of-life strategies
- Develop & executes product roadmap and commercial strategy to ensure achievement of budgets, ASR plans, and longer-term sustainable growth across customer segments
- Strategic product manager for IntelliCab™ Will-Call System, IntelliVault™ Controlled Substance Management System and Beacon® Workflow and Inventory Management
- Marketing core team member for Sustaining Engineering (KTLO, CTW, Compliance, Software Remediation, & Feature Enhancements programs)
- Create and update annual marketing plans/annual strategic review plans including market analysis, customer segmentation and targeting, product positioning, competitive assessments, and SWOT or other situation assessment.
- Develop product claims, positioning & messaging for portfolio; partner with regional teams on creation of collateral & tools to drive commercial excellence
- Coordinates with supply-chain on global demand forecast and manages product-level supply continuity
- Owns pricing strategy for respective portfolio, including global pricing corridors
- Effectively partner and collaborate with Regional Marketing, R&D, Medical Affairs, ISC, Regulatory Affairs and Quality to ensure appropriate inputs into portfolio and marketing strategy.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree required
- 4+ years experience in the medical device, marketing, product management or new product development (prior product launch experience highly preferred)
- Strong work ethic, self-motivation and resourcefulness
- Demonstrated ability to set vision, develop and implement product & commercial strategies and drive successful execution to meet business objectives
- Demonstrated track record of achieving results working across dynamic teams, complex business environments and matrix organizations
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to distill data into a succinct, simple story to influence the organization
- Exceptional communication skills (written & presentation), including strong executive presence
- Ability to travel regularly to Durham, NC and US Customers (25% of the time)
