Job Summary
• Plans, organizes and prioritizes work duties to accomplish daily objectives according to established schedules. • Complies with established hospital standards and practices/procedures. • Demonstrate leadership ability and good communication skills. • Interacts with radiologists, hospital administrative personnel, referring physician's offices, patients, and other professional and community groups. • Responsible for representing the radiology department to patients, patients' family members, physician offices, health care centers, medical organizations, and various other clients. • Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders via electronic, in-person, and telephone communications. • Collaborates and supports the Radiology Director, Clinical Managers, Clinical Supervisors, and Radiologists with various activities within the department of Radiology. • Participates in hospital committees and task forces as needed. • Maintains patient confidentiality and privacy as set for by HIPAA privacy policies. • Assists in special projects to support practice goals and meet hospital revenue, compliance, and patient satisfaction-related topics. • Builds and maintains ongoing working relationships with staff, clinical and physician members of the department of Radiology to facilitate positive morale and support provider workflow. • Manages specific administrative functions related to the operations of the Radiology practice. • Collaborates with the Director of Radiology and Radiology modality managers. The Program Coordinator will assist in organizing and assist with radiology related task and data creation. In addition, the coordinator will serve as the primary person oversight of radiology related compliance task. • Create volume reports and pivot tables to support radiology operations. • Completes other special projects/task and administrative tasks that may arise as part of radiology. • Assistmanagers to investigate and problem solve HER documentation and billing. • Track and review SRS reports and collaborate with managers for timely response. • Oversee the department policy review according to due dates with director and manager engagement. • Manage the unscheduled MRI order work queue. Work with both NWH and MGB resources to execute queue work. • Work with Director of Radiology to manage and monitor, unscheduled Imaging Orders WQ's-Decentralized Departments-Provide outreach, support, education to Vernon Cancer Center, Breast Center, IR/CVC, and Thoracic Surgery. Performs all other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Associates degree preferred. Possess good organizational skills. Demonstrated strengths in the following areas: Good interpersonal skills Ability to prioritize tasks based upon deadline and needs. Ability to be flexible with work hours Working knowledge of Excel, PowerPoint and Word
