SummaryUnder the general direction of the OISS Assistant Director for Engagement and Outreach and the Office of the Provost, the International Student Engagement Manager provides orientation, adjustment, and advising services to the cohort of Tulane Graduate Direct students, and coordinates diverse campus partners in working with Shorelight team members. The International Student Engagement Manager also assists in the overall outreach, programming, and orientation efforts of the OISS. The International Student Engagement Manager holistically supports the international students' experience, guiding them toward the successful completion of an academic course of study at Tulane. This includes leading courses for the Tulane Graduate Direct students and advising on personal, academic, and cultural affairs.
Required Qualifications* Bachelor's Degree and 2 years of directly-related experience.OR * High School Diploma or equivalent and 8 years of directly-related experience.* U.S. Citizenship or Lawful Permanent Residence is required for access to SEVIS, as mandated by federal regulations.
* Master's Degree in a related field.* Student advising and/or programming experience.* Experience working in a higher education setting.* Significant international experience that may include studying, living or working abroad, or interacting with international visitors.* Knowledge of F-1 immigration regulations and the SEVIS system, including SEVIS processes and alerts/reports and RTI and batch processes.* Knowledge of Sunapsis* One or more years of experience advising international students.
