The Division of Pulmonary, Allergy and Critical Care in the Department of Medicine at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seeks candidates for several Associate or Full Professor positions in the non-tenure academic clinician track. Expertise is required in the specific area of pulmonary and critical care. Applicants must have an M.D or M.D./Ph.D. degree. Applicants should be board certified in Pulmonary, Allergy and Critical Care.
Teaching responsibilities may include teaching pulmonary and critical care fellows, house staff, and medical students. The academic clinician track requires 100 credits per year of active and high-quality teaching.
Clinical responsibilities may include consultation and evaluation and management of critically ill patients as an attending on the inpatient medical critical care services, lung transplant service, inpatient and outpatient bronchoscopies, as well as providing services in the outpatient clinic.
Delivery of medical critical care services across our integrated health system which is comprised of three major city medical centers is required. There will be an expectation of the ability of selected candidates to provide management and/or leadership. Rank will be commensurate with experience.
