Volt is immediately hiring a Purchasing Assistant in Carlsbad, Ca.

Pay rate $21.00-22.00/hr

Purchase supplies, services, commodities, and equipment for company departments by following company purchasing policies and procedure guidelines.

As a Purchasing Assistant you will:

• Reviews purchase requests according to approved specifications
• Selects vendors according to department policies and procedures
• Establishes and maintains good working relationships with vendors
• Processes sales order entries for drop shipments (OEM)
• Maintains and creates part numbers for current/new aftermarket and tour models
• Issues and tracks purchase orders for OEM and non-stock
• Communicates with manufacturers on ship dates for OEM and provides shipping schedules to OEM, as needed
• May be required to cross train for position(s) within the division organizational structure from time to time, as required.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.

This is a full time opportunity

The ideal candidate will have:

• Previous Purchasing Experience
• Assists all departments in regards to supplies, services, inventory, etc
• Demonstrates ability to interact and cooperate with all company employees
• Experience with computers and related software
• Must be able to establish and maintain effective working relationships with vendors and outside representatives
• Ability to prepare and interpret specifications and maintain procurement records and reports
• Good communication skills, the ability to interact with people at higher levels, the ability to handle multiple tasks, and individual initiative

Pay rate $21.00-22.00/hr

*Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
