As the Quality Lead for our team in West Memphis, AR, you will be accountable for the development and implementation of Quality Management System processes and supporting documentation across the site.
Quality Department Function
- Interact regularly with Frontline Leaders, Quality and Production Associates to partner and support through process improvement, process documentation, and process scorecard.
- Lead & Implement operational strategies (Corporate Quality Roadmap) and action plans to ensure alignment with Warren Oil Company's strategic initiatives.
- Own our Internal Corrective Action, Customer Complaint, and Supplier Corrective Action Request Management system. Oversee and monitor these systems to ensure their effectiveness. These activities include: Leading 8D/A3 review meetings (which include Ishikawa (Cause & Effect), Potential Problem Analysis (PPA), and Failure Mode Effect Analysis (FMEA) for identifying, acting upon and sustaining process/product improvements.
- Prepare and distribute performance-based reports, guide departments with their interpretation, and lead improvement efforts to address findings.
- Establish and maintain a culture of continuous improvement, quality, high performance and process excellence.
- Encourage employees' positive involvement, with the opportunity for constructive input and action.
- Conduct effective communication of quality objectives and results with all employees.
- Participate in long term strategic planning for the quality function involving the optimum utilization of Warren Oil Company assets and human resources.
- Uses continuous improvement methods such as Lean and Six Sigma to develop best practices in quality.
- Partners with other sites to standardize best practices and reduce non-value-added activity.
- Consistently confirm quality indicators and process best practices performed in other plants of the group (Internal Benchmarking).
Compliance
- Be the Subject Matter Expert regarding ISO 9001:2015.
- Ensure compliance with all government regulatory requirements.
- With the Corporate Quality Manager, Lead internal and external audit processes, and preparing reports/audit findings.
- Provide continuous improvement and training to ensure a competent internal quality audit group.
Process Interface- Lead investigation on product and process irregularity causes (Root Cause Analysis) and monitor corrective actions regarding process and product to ensure appropriate result; 8D/A3 methodology.
Role Requirements:EducationBS degree in Quality Management or related field, or equivalent education, training and experience.
Work ExperienceMinimum of 5 years' experience in a leadership role (Process or Quality Assurance) in a manufacturing environment.
Preferred Certifications:Certified ISO 9001 Lead Auditor
Six Sigma green or black belt
ASQ Certified Quality Auditor, Engineer, and/or Manager
