Responsible for driving, monitoring, overseeing, and improving quality functions. Works directly with the Quality Manager on all quality and food safety systems.

Ways you will make a difference

• Ensure appropriate communication of food safety/QA issues with Production Supervisors and Technicians
• Ensure adherence to quality & food safety laws, regulations, company policies and practices
• Understand and demonstrate the Company's core values and operating principles
• Ensure adherence to all company policies and procedures
• Perform other duties as assigned to support Ferrara Candy Company business objective

• Promote teamwork, possess a good attitude, and exhibit flexibility and willingness to perform task as needed
• Demonstrate initiative and generate creative solutions to a variety of issues
• Ability to organize and prioritize workloads and to meet deadlines
• Ability to work in and facilitate inter-departmental teams
• Ability to write and verbally communicate in a professional manner
• Ability to motivate individuals and effectively accomplish tasks through others; ability to foster a cooperative work environment in a matrix organization
• Proficiency Microsoft Office products (Excel, Access, Word) and the ability to learn various in-house computer software

• 1 plus years of relevant experience in the quality department of a food, packaging or pharmaceutical manufacturing environment. Lead or supervisory experience a plus
• Bachelor's degree in related field strongly preferred
