Description
The University of Chicago's Department of Medicine, Section of Infectious Diseases and Global Health in the Biological Sciences Division, is searching for Research Assistant Professors, Research Associate Professors, or Research Professors who will contribute to research projects as part of the Chicago Center for HIV Elimination. The appointees' primary activity will be to conduct academic research in association with a faculty member or team. The appointees will complement existing areas of strength in the Center and will contribute to project conception and execution. We especially welcome applicants with expertise in any of these areas: implementation science, pragmatic trial design, advanced biostatistics and computational modeling, and qualitative research methods. Fields of interest include public health and socio-behavioral interventions for HIV, viral hepatitis, and/or substance use disorder, as well as the understanding of these processes in the context of the underlying risk environment, including criminal legal and other policy contexts. Academic rank and compensation (including a generous package of fringe benefits) are dependent upon qualifications.
Applicants must have: 1) a doctoral degree or equivalent in public health, social sciences, statistics or biostatistics, biological sciences, or a related discipline and 2) completed postdoctoral training or other faculty-level research prior to the start of employment.
To be considered, those interested must apply through The University of Chicago's Academic Recruitment job board, which uses Interfolio to accept applications: http://apply.interfolio.com/146226.
Applicants must upload: a cover letter, CV including bibliography, and research statement. Review of applications will continue until all available positions are filled.
