Job Details:

SUMMARY:

This position is responsible for ensuring the plant safety and industrial hygiene programs are in compliance with the corporate health and safety policies and procedures including OSHA EPA and state standards and regulations. This includes recognizing evaluating monitoring and controlling Team Member exposure to workplace hazards both physical and behavioral; report deviations to management; participate in training Safety/Ergonomic Committee Team Members in performing their responsibilities. This position requires the candidate to go into areas where beef and pork products, as well as other ingredients, that may be a potential allergen are present.

REQUIREMENTS:

Education:

High school diploma or equivalent; some college preferred.

Experience:

Basic safety knowledge familiarity with company safety program; knowledge of OSHA regulations preferred.

Computer Skill:

Basic computer skills.

Communication Skills:

Excellent verbal and written communication skills; strong presentation skills; ability to communicate with all level of Team Members. Special Skills: Ability to train individuals as well as groups; ability to read and comprehend safety manuals.

Travel:

3 plus training trips per year.

SHIFT: Split Shift 11am - 7:30pm
