POSITION SUMMARY:

DuBois Chemicals is looking to hire a high-performance sales professional to assume a sales territory with excellent upside growth potential. Responsible to

grow the company's presence, customer relationships, and sales in the Washington State (Seattle) marketplace. Manage an existing account base and grow sales in other value-added manufactured products in the company's product offering including metal working fluids and surface treatment markets. Maintenance of customer accounts once established is equally as important as efforts to generate new business. Responsible for communicating customer needs and requirements to all functional areas of the company to ensure that efforts are coordinated resulting in rapid organic sales growth.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Create new business growth through prospecting in the Seattle, WA region
  
• Manage key accounts of mid-sized and large accounts with an opportunity for increased wallet share with existing customers
  
• Problem-solving, value-added selling process with focus on winning and retaining customers and repeat consumable business
  
• Consult with industrial manufacturers on using chemistry to reduce total cost, improve production processes, and achieve Health, Safety and Environmental goals and objectives
  
• New Sales Professionals receive thorough training and mentoring to support success
  
• Outstanding field and Research & Development (R&D) technical team to support selling opportunities and account management
  
• Travel to current and prospective customers to development relationships and grow sales
  
• Must be able to perform the essential functions of this position with or without reasonable accommodations
  

MINIMUM POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering or Business field preferred
  
• 2+ years of industrial sales success, preferably in Chemical Sales, Food & Beverage and Water Treatment
  
• Proven effectiveness in prospecting, closing new projects, and delivering effective presentations
  
• Demonstrated ability to build and manage long-term customer relationships
  
• High achievement orientation; driven to perform and grow
  
• Strong consultation, negotiation, problem-resolution and interpersonal skills
  
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
  
• Ability to understand new product lines and utilize knowledge to fulfil customer needs
  
• Proficient in Microsoft Office
  
• Professionally developed sales and territory management skills
  
• Ability to travel up to 50%
  
• Must possess a valid driver's license and clean driving record
  
• Ability to perform technical/mechanical on-site testing
