Senior Accountant

A mission-driven non-profit organization in Highland Park is looking for a strong senior accountant to join their team immediately! The senior accountant will be working with the financial & program analyst to finalize financial data for year-end and fiscal audit.

This is a 2 month contract, with the possibility of extension.

Requirements:

• Strong knowledge of:
• General Ledger - reconciliations, allocations, etc.
• Audit - classifying and reporting net assets of the organization for the audit, etc.
• Strong GL management and analysis skills
• Knowledge of period-end closing procedures
• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance
• Non-profit and grant management experience
• Strong excel and systems skills, MIP is a plus
• Good communication is a must
• Must pass a Live Scan
