Cenovus is looking for a Senior Process Controls Engineer - Projects for our Lima, OH site. Reporting to the Process Controls Manager, this individual contributor will support the business team by providing improvements to benefit the business in terms of optimization, reliability, and safety.

What you'll do:
- Ensure DCS Regulatory / Supervisory Controls, Operator Graphics, Alarm System, Process Historian, and PI are designed and implemented in accordance with Lima Refinery Company standards to maintain, optimize, and continue the safe operation of the refinery.
- Work with key partners such as the Project Engineer, Area Business Teams, Operations, Process Engineering, Maintenance, Environmental and Process Safety Management.
- Execute and oversee work at Lima Refinery Company
- Held to metrics such as Budget Adherence, Schedule Adherence, PSM compliance, Alarm Performance, and Control Scheme Implementation.
- Decision-making supported by Process Controls Team and Area Business Team members.
- Authority to approve documentation related to process controls in assignment.
- Solve Complex problems to assist Operations and Process Engineering in diagnosing and developing solutions to refinery operational issues.
Who you are:
- 8+ years' experience of relatable work experience
- Bachelors degree in Engineering
Preferred: - Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Chemical Engineering or Electrical Engineering
- MBA, PMP Certification, or Professional Engineer License
- Knowledge of job or industry-specific practices or processes; critical/unique skills/knowledge
- Proficient technical skills and knowledge of refinery operations, process flows, coordination, and systems
- Experience with MOC and Hazop/LOPA requirements/participation
- Knowledge and proficiency in Honeywell HPM and Experion C-300/SCADA configuration.
- Experion HMI graphic design and configuration.
- Lin & Associates ALTIUS experience
- DCS/SIS/PLC hardware and software maintenance, experience with Modbus communication protocol, familiarity with Hexagon PAS, familiarity with Honeywell PHD and OSI Soft PI
