Baer is looking for Senior SAP Finance Functional SME for a 9-month Federal project located in Kansas City, MO.

Title: Senior SAP Finance Functional SME
Location: Hybrid - Kansas City, MO
Duration: 9 months
Rate: All-inclusive

Description:

• Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather functional requirements and design effective SAP Finance solutions that align with organizational needs.
• Configure SAP Finance modules, including General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Asset Accounting, and Funds Management, to meet business requirements. Specifically, configure the 3-dimensional budget structure (Fund, Fund Center, and Commitment Item) within Funds Management.
• Work closely with technical teams (including BASIS, Middleware, Portal, and Development) to ensure technical solutions align with functional requirements and business objectives.
• Develop test strategies, manage complex testing efforts, and ensure seamless integration and implementation of financial solutions.
• Lead business process design, system analysis, and implementation of SAP finance solutions that align with both Federal and industry-specific needs.
• Coordinate efforts across architects, developers, technical services, and business analysts, ensuring clear communication and collaboration across teams.
• Provide ongoing support for SAP modules, including identifying and implementing system enhancements, optimizations, and maintenance.
• Oversee budgeting, staffing, forecasting, and work planning to ensure alignment with federal financial systems.
• Lead, mentor, and train junior team members, ensuring continuous development and efficient delivery of SAP projects.

Requirements:

• 7+ years of experience in SAP ECC Finance modules (including General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Asset Accounting, and Funds Management).
• Proven experience in team leadership, including managing, mentoring, and training junior team members.
• Demonstrated experience in Federal finance operations and an understanding of government financial regulations and processes.
• U.S. Citizenship required for eligibility in federal projects.
• Experience with SAP S/4 HANA Finance modules.
• Relevant SAP certifications (such as SAP Certified Application Associate or SAP Certified Professional).
• Prior work experience in the Manufacturing (MFG) or Energy sectors.
• Experience working with SAP Public Sector Financials and understanding of its specific requirements.
