Voyatek is seeking applicants to occupy the position of Senior Security Architect within our team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Performs risk analysis, risk management, and communication of results.
  • Champions security through entire SDLC and the DevSecOps processes CICDCS.
  • Work in active partnership with development teams in identifying and building solutions to secure code and the implementation of application vulnerability scanning and penetration testing.
  • Review application architecture, identify security gaps, and help improve the security posture of business-critical multi-tier applications in public cloud environments like AWS with refactoring and promotions between the environments.
  • Perform periodic secure design and coding assessments to diagnose, triage, and propose remediations for vulnerabilities and weaknesses in code and applications, considering code, design, and deployment.
  • Use standard tools and secure architecture methodologies to evaluate design trade-offs for developing updated architectures
  • Work with Product Management to ensure changes are consistent with business objectives and customer requirements.
  • Identify, train, and partner with champions for security in engineering and the product team
    Support security champions by helping them assess risk, learn to identify architectural gaps, and similar activities
  • Coach and train teams in topics related to security architecture, threat modeling, and secure coding.
  • Provides technical guidance on methodologies, frameworks, and best practices to developers.
  • Ensures all applicable security policies and processes are followed to support the organization's secure software development goals.

Qualifications:
  • A bachelor degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or related field.
  • 12 + years of experience in IT industry
  • 12 + years of proven experience in Security
  • Expertise in product/application security architecture, infrastructure security, and application security.
  • Applied NIST and continuously monitored security controls
  • Strong programming knowledge in Node.js. and Python
  • Implemented and utilized modern security tools that ensure secure application delivery
  • Knowledge of securing data through classification, tagging, encryption and obfuscation capabilities (in MarkLogic and Apache NiFi a bonus)
  • Strong software development skills in Agile methodologies.
  • Strong Linux operating systems and open-source knowledge.
  • Strong knowledge of AWS Cloud Platform.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills as well as business acumen and a commercial outlook

Preferred:
  • CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional) certification desired.
  • Domain knowledge of Integrated Tax Systems.
  • Extensive public sector experience.

The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions. This includes, but is not limited to, skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, and geographic location. At Voyatek, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current

annual range is $137,000 to $234,500. This position may be eligible for a discretionary bonus. This position is classified as exempt in accordance with applicable law.

If applicable, hires for these projects will be required to obtain a Federal Public Trust Clearance (Moderate Background Investigation). This clearance process may start upon offer acceptance; and must be cleared prior to working on these projects.
