Position Overview:

SubCom is seeking an experienced Sr. Software System Engineer to join a multidisciplinary organization dedicated to the development, manufacture and deployment of high reliability transoceanic undersea communication systems. You will be an integral member of the development team supporting Manufacturing in a dynamic organization; building and supporting applications that drive Quality, Delivery and Productivity.

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • The successful candidate will partner with cross-functional experts through all phases of a project.
  • Ability to work with process engineers and other functional experts to translate business requirements into applications to automate or streamline existing processes.
  • Produce robust, reusable and scalable software.
  • Create supporting documentation.
  • Provide training to end users
  • Works with little supervision on required tasks. Tasks are assigned with direction and are checked for progress.
  • Travel up to 10% domestic
Qualifications:
  • BS in Computer Science or related field
  • 5+ years of experience developing desktop applications in C# using WPF.
  • Experience working with a SQL Server database as the back end for developed applications.
  • Experience communicating with hardware to collect and analyze data associated with manufacturing processes a plus..
  • 5+ years of experience working with the .NET Framework..
  • Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience in visual presentation at all levels within the organization.
  • Skill in data collection and analysis.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a multi-function manufacturing environment.
  • Proficiency and demonstrated ability to make independent, informed, and impactful decisions.
