As we expand into new markets and launch new products and applications, we are looking for a highly skilled Senior Talent Acquisition Specialist to join our North America HR team. For a motivated and creative candidate looking to develop a talent acquisition strategy, this is a unique opportunity to contribute to our growth and to help develop a strong recruiting function in North America while collaborating with our Asia Pacific geography to build a world-class global talent acquisition platform.

Position Overview

Reporting to the Human Resources Operations Manager, North America, the Senior Talent Acquisition Specialist will play a critical role in shaping the future of our organization. You will help us develop and execute a comprehensive, world-class recruiting strategy, sourcing top-tier talent, and building a robust and diverse pipeline to meet both current and future needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Recruitment: Develop and implement an effective talent acquisition strategy to attract highly skilled professionals, particularly those with expertise in new technologies and innovations.
  • Sourcing & Screening: Identify, source, and engage potential candidates through various channels including job boards, social media, networking events, and professional associations. Conduct initial screenings and assessments to shortlist top candidates.
  • Candidate Experience: Manage the end-to-end recruitment process, ensuring a positive candidate experience from initial contact through onboarding. Provide timely communication and feedback to all candidates.
  • Pipeline Development: Proactively build and maintain a diverse talent pipeline for critical and specialized roles to ensure readiness for future hiring needs.
  • Data-Driven Decisions: Utilize recruitment metrics and analytics to drive decisions and continuously improve the hiring process. Provide regular reports and insights to the HR leadership team.
  • Employer Branding: Participate in and support employer branding initiatives to enhance our reputation as an employer of choice. Attend industry events and career fairs to promote our brand.
  • Collaboration:
    • Work closely with hiring managers and department heads to understand their staffing needs and ensure alignment with the overall recruitment strategy.
    • Assist in creating compelling job descriptions that attract the right talent.
    • Work closely and collaboratively with the HR business partners in North America to drive timely hiring decision and to understand the short and long-term talent needs of the company.
    • Liaise with Asia Pacific colleagues to build a scalable talent strategy to support our geographic growth initiatives.
Qualifications:
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in human resources, business administration, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in talent acquisition, with a track record of success in sourcing and hiring for specialized and technical roles. Experience in a senior or specialist role is preferred.
  • Skills: Strong understanding of recruitment metrics and analytics, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, proficiency with applicant tracking systems (ATS) and other recruitment software. Experience identifying and implementing a new ATS is an asset.
  • Attributes: High level of professionalism, confidentiality, and the ability to work independently as well as part of diverse and distributed team across North America and in Asia Pacific.
  • Preferred: Experience with employer branding and recruitment marketing, and knowledge of social media best practices.
  • Temperament: Learning focus, motivated by new challenges and commitment to continuous improvement.
  • Bilingual: French and English is required.
