Your Role:

The primary responsibility of the Carlsbad Shipping Operator 3 is to safely perform daily loading of shipments and packaging finished goods with minimum supervision. Safely operating material handling equipment while performing these tasks and identifying any unsafe conditions.

The Shipping Operator 3 will be required to achieve a basic knowledge of all products manufactured at the Carlsbad facility. The Shipping Operator 3 will also be required to have a basic understanding of how equipment and chemicals will react in an emergency. The expected response to those abnormal conditions includes identification and the appropriate notification and escalation procedures. The Shipping Operator 3 will be required to achieve a basic knowledge of Quality Management Systems and be able to communicate effectively using written and verbal skills.

  • Will develop a basic knowledge and understanding of all product containers, manufactured at the Carlsbad facility
  • Have knowledge of domestic shipping of hazardous materials and non-hazardous materials.
  • Review logistics paperwork, bill of ladings and interpret data to identify and address abnormal conditions
  • Demonstrate ability to recognize immediate and potential safety hazards and escalate to the proper supervisor. Participate in safety audits/reviews and participate in developing solutions to safety hazards
  • Demonstrate ability to apply directions from supervisor and show initiative in a teamwork environment
  • Identify and escalate abnormal conditions as they relate to safety and shipping functions
  • Be an active team member in support of Basic Safety Principals
  • Maintain manufacturing Kanbans and monitor satellite warehouses and docks for adherence to site required Continuous Improvement and housekeeping requirements
  • Communicate with other departments, and personnel in a professional and courteous manor
Who You Are:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 3+ years of warehousing experience
  • Knowledge of domestic shipping of hazardous materials and non-hazardous material

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Proficiency with Microsoft word, Excel, and outlook, SAP functions experience
  • Ability to success in a team environment
  • Familiarity with material moving equipment, powered industrial trucks (forklift), pallet jacks, power pallet jacks, and drums dollies
  • Ability to multitask while maintaining a safe working environment and meeting all quality requirements

Pay Range for this position - $39,100 - $117,300

Our ranges incorporate all levels and career types available within this specific role, and are derived from relevant industry market data.
