Software Engineer - ASAP

Join our dynamic team and play a key role in strengthening and protecting our nation's economic, financial, and payments systems. We are seeking a talented Software Engineer to contribute to our exciting cloud migration project.

As a Software Engineer, you will apply your expertise in software engineering to design, implement, configure, and optimize solutions that support our critical applications, databases, test automation tools, and commercial off-the-shelf products. With a strong background in Java, Angular, and SQL, you will collaborate with our customers to develop innovative solutions that achieve their business goals.

Key Responsibilities:
- Demonstrate technical proficiency in at least one general-purpose programming language (Java, C#, Python, etc.) and domain-specific languages (HTML, SQL, proprietary vendor languages, etc.)
- Perform peer reviews using software engineering principles, patterns, and development guidelines
- Partner with customers to understand business and technical requirements and implement technical solutions to meet those needs
- Provide on-call support, troubleshooting, root cause analysis, incident management, and service request management for our supported products and environments

Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) field or a closely related discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- At least 6 years of relevant experience in software engineering
- Proficiency in Java, Angular, and SQL
- Ability to work independently with general supervision and direction

Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience creating and operating applications and infrastructure in AWS
- DevOps experience
