Solution Architect, Cloud & Infrastructure - Solution Development - Remote

The Select Group is seeking a skilled and experienced Solution Architect to join our team. As a Solution Architect, you will be pivotal in designing innovative solutions for our industry clients. Your responsibilities will include providing strategic guidance, overseeing project scoping, creating comprehensive Statements of Work (SOWs), developing pricing models, and managing resource planning efforts.

Responsibilities:

Industry Experience

• Collaborate closely with our industry clients to gain a deep understanding of their business requirements and design tailored solutions.
• Lead solution design efforts, ensuring the proposed solutions meet client needs and align with industry best practices.
• Oversee solution design, guiding cross-functional teams and ensuring successful project initiation.

Pre-Sales Experience:

• Define project scope, deliverables, timelines, and milestones.
• Develop presentations and proposal documents using PowerPoint or Word.
• Create detailed and accurate Statements of Work (SOWs) that clearly outline project objectives, methodologies, and success criteria.
• Develop project pricing models that align with client budgets and business goals.
• Proven experience writing persuasive proposals and making client presentations, utilizing strong communication skills
• Works with TSG Management and Legal to write SOWs, understand key risks and mitigation strategies
• Leads RFx technical response development by analyzing RFx documents and providing relevant content, data points, and underlying process recommendations in support of RFx solution development

Technical Experience:

• Provide technical expertise and guidance to internal teams and clients.
• Utilize your deep understanding of industry-specific challenges and opportunities to drive innovative and effective solutions.
• Contribute to the development and enhancement of our solution offerings in the industry.

Leadership and Collaboration:

• Engage with key stakeholders to manage expectations, provide project updates, and address any concerns.
• Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including sales, Service Delivery, and operations, to ensure successful project delivery.

Qualifications:

• At least 8 years of industry, pre-sales, technical, and/or leadership experience
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in cloud infrastructure architecture with a focus on networking, virtualization, and content transmission
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
• Solid background in software development, Agile methodologies, and infrastructure/network technologies.
• Expertise of technologies and experience including but not limited to:
  • Voice and data networks (e.g., VoIP, LTE, 5G).
  • Network security protocols.
  • Internet protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP).
  • Cloud computing and virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V, OpenStack)
  • Cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud
  • Software-defined networking (SDN) and network function virtualization (NFV).
  • Testing/Validation of components
  • Media and/or Content Transmission systems, Distribution, and File Compression techniques
• Strong understanding of network architecture, security, cloud computing and cybersecurity best practices.
• Experience supporting sales teams in positioning services and showcasing solution value.
• Proven ability to collaborate with internal teams, third parties, and management to develop solutions and secure stakeholder buy-in.
• Demonstrated skills in decision-making, team building, and staying current with technology.
• Ability to deliver end-to-end solutions and integrate solution components.
• Experience leading and supporting pricing strategies, customer presentations, and project scoping.
• Background in sales, presales engineering, service delivery, or services lifecycle knowledge is highly desirable.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Strong interest in the industry, eagerness to learn and grow and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
• Familiarity with project management concepts is a plus.
• Preferred Certifications:
  • AWS Certificed Solutions, Google Cloud Architect or equivalent
  • Certifications in network security or cloud computing technologies
