Sr. College Recruiter
This position is in the School of Nursing and Health Studies' (SONHS) Office of Student Services, reports to the Director of Strategic Initiatives and serves as the primary recruiter for all SONHS academic programs. This position works closely with key personnel to develop the School's comprehensive recruitment plan, brainstorm new recruitment strategies, and market SONHS programs to recruit a top-notch and diverse student body. The approximate breakdown of duties is divided into the following areas: Develop, implement, and assess a graduate recruitment plan (20%); Travel to strategic areas to represent SONHS graduate programs and support school-wide open houses, academic fairs, and informational sessions (30%); Leverage data, digital technology, and communication tools for graduate recruitment (25%); Support new student orientation (5%); Oversee yield strategies for graduate programs (10%); assist in management of Student Ambassadors (5%).

The ideal applicant will be able to travel locally and nationally and will possess excellent analytical, communication, organizational, interpersonal, and public speaking skills. It is also important that applicants be able to be self-directed as well as collaborative as a member of the Office of Student Services (OSS) team. At least two years of related work experience and a bachelor's degree in health science, higher education, marketing, nursing, public health, public relations, or a related field is required.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Develop, implement, and assess a recruitment plan for SONHS programs (20%)
• In conjunction with the Director of Strategic Initiatives, develop the objectives for a comprehensive recruitment plan.
• Serve as primary recruiter for all SONHS programs.
• Manage recruitment team.
• Act as point of contact (direct and escalation) for prospects, inquiries, and applicants, and assist prospective students through all aspects of the admissions cycle.
• Meeting regularly with faculty to learn about their program and strategies for reaching and exceeding program recruitment goals.
• Assess outreach efforts to determine effectiveness of campaigns.
• Report bi-annually on the progress of interventions to maintain/increase, as needed, program enrollment.
• Develop and leverage strategic partnerships to encourage recruitment and cultivate leads.
• Work with Associate Deans and Program Directors to create efficient admissions timelines.

Travel to strategic areas to identify and recruit prospective students and support SONHS programs in hosting campus events (30%)
• Represent the School of Nursing and Health Studies at strategically relevant conferences and events.
• Keep an active contact list of healthcare contacts and partners in the community and abroad.
• Support the planning and organizing school-wide open houses, academic fairs, and informational sessions.
• Work with program coordinators to help organize events (internal and with external partners) hosted by program areas.
• Cultivate strong alumni partnerships for referrals of new prospective students.
• Coordinate student visits virtually and to the University of Miami School of Nursing and Health Studies.
Leverage data, technology, and communication tools for recruitment (25%)
• Identify prospective student populations and develop electronic campaigns for recruitment of those populations.
• Fully integrate the use of SalesForce for graduate students, including the use of data to assist faculty in their outreach efforts.
• Fully integrate the use of NursingCas for graduate students, including the use of data to assist faculty in their outreach efforts.
• Work with SONHS Marketing and Communications on social media campaigns for recruitment. Cultivate new student materials and guides.
• Periodically review program collateral for accuracy and relevancy to prospective student needs.
• Host online events to attract specific populations.
• Develop and run a systematic process to collect data on recruitment and marketing efforts to assess their effectiveness and guide future recruitment and marketing efforts.
Oversee yield strategies across the school (10%)
• Establish yield programming and efforts upon admissions offers.
• Assist Program Coordinators in enrollment and admissions process as necessary to ensure target yields.
• Act as escalation point for enrollment and admissions issues.
• Coordinate events directed at admitted students to keep them engaged prior to start.
• Assign, monitor, and evaluate "red flags" in the admissions process to identify issues that affect yield, melt, retention, and graduation, and work with the Director to address them.

Support new student orientation and transition efforts (5%)
• Offer pre-orientation webinars to assist in student yield and transition.
• Develop transition communication efforts.
• In coordination with the Sr. Director, support the August Graduate Student Orientation.
• Cultivate new student materials and guides.
Assist in Management of Student Ambassador Program (5%)
• Manage recruitment guidelines for Student Ambassadors.
• Coordinate with S.H.A.R.E. Administration of tour scheduling and training for student ambassadors.
• Manage Student Ambassadors' involvement in recruitment activities and school events.
OSS Mission Support (5%)
• Provide support to Enrollment and Admissions personnel as needed.
• Coordinate student onboarding and other OSS-related events as needed.
• Liaise with Graduate School to ensure graduating students are cleared for conferral.
• Other Duties as Assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Preferred Qualifications
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Access, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher, and Word.
• Knowledge of SaleForce required.
• Knowledge of additional graphic design, marketing, and recruitment software a plus.
• Excellent communication, organizational, interpersonal, and public speaking skills.
• Strong analytical skills to analyze data and direct recruitment efforts.
• Ability to travel extensively locally and nationally.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment by using good multi-tasking and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to engage and assist a diverse student body and to work closely with faculty, administration, and outside organizations with minimal supervision.
• Ability to be self-directed as well as collaborative to work effectively as a member of a team.
• Familiarity with nursing graduate student recruitment strategies a plus.
• A demonstrated understanding of the variables associated with student recruitment and yield.
• Experience with student information systems and administrative processes.

Education and Experience:
Education: Bachelor's Degree
Degree Preferred in: Health Science, Higher Education, Marketing, Nursing, Public Health, Public Relations, or a Related Field

Experience: 2-3 Years
Minimum Qualification: Bachelor's Degree Required. Educational background in health science, higher education, marketing, nursing, public health, public relations, or a related field desired. Approximately two to three years of related experience required.
