The Senior Director, Digital Merchandising & Programs is a pivotal role in the YETI Direct to Consumer (DTC) organization. This individual will lead the digital merchandising strategy, driving innovation and effectiveness on YETI.com. The role will focus on evolving the YETI.com experience as a store by introducing new merchandising capabilities and techniques. This will be achieved through a strong partnership with cross functional partners to enhance customer experience and conversion rates.
Responsibilities:
- Drive Revenue Growth: Set and align with Brand, Product, and FP&A team on long-term strategy to hit growth targets for eCommerce.
- Innovative Merchandising Strategies: Develop and execute category site merchandising strategies focusing on unique shopping experiences for key customer segments.
- Team Leadership: Lead and grow the team responsible for digital merchandising and e-commerce programs.
- Digital Optimization: Establish a plan to merchandise the site, ensuring content, design changes, and inventory align with Digital Commerce objectives.
- KPI Establishment: Set and evaluate merchandising KPIs for business performance.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with leaders from cross-departmental teams, including performance marketing, inventory management, brand marketing, digital product, creative, analytics, and category management.
- Brand Storytelling: Collaborate with marketing to deliver compelling brand and product stories online, integrating with other brand channels.
- Product Launch Review: Direct and advise the site merchandising team on standards and aesthetics for product launches.
- Data-informed approach: Utilize business performance data to identify trends and insights.
- Fast-Paced Execution: Operate in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines, ensuring all communications are accurate, clear, and consistent.
- Digital Marketplace Knowledge: Stay updated on trends in the digital marketplace, leveraging product-driven site optimization.
- Educational Strategies: Ability to drive product education and cross-category awareness on the site.
Qualifications and Attributes:
- Experience: At least 15 years of relevant experience, with at least 10 years in eCommerce digital merchandising and marketing.
- Leadership: Proven leadership skills with at least 8 years of experience leading a team.
- Analytical Expertise: Proficient in using analytics tools such as Google Analytics and Content Square to drive digital merchandising strategies.
- Technical Acumen: Strong understanding of digital technology and its application in enhancing eCommerce effectiveness.
- Financial Forecasting: Ability to focus on financial forecasting, business trends, and setting revenue targets.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Comfortable collaborating with Marketing, Product, Design, Finance, Supply Chain and Operations teams.
- Innovation Focus: Demonstrated ability to innovate in digital merchandising, finding new ways to showcase products and drive awareness.
- Conversion-Driven Mindset: Strong focus on increasing conversion rates and understanding customer needs, particularly new customers.
- Communication Skills: Ability to present and lead executive conversations with the Senior Leadership Team.
