The Sr Sales Operations Analyst role offers a great opportunity for a proactive self-starter to show leadership and provide data-driven insights for the Biosciences Division (BID) selling teams. You will support multiple Technical Sales Specialists and Business Development Specialists by providing sales funnel and demonstration dashboards, ad hoc analytics, program tracking, and other sales operations functions. You will work with your peers to streamline reporting processes and provide expertise to field sales and commercial operations teams.

To be successful, you must exhibit strong critical thinking skills, be able to think logically and understand the different parts of complex processes. In this role, you will work cross-functionally, and at times globally, with Marketing, Finance, Pricing, Compensation, Product Management and will regularly connect with senior leadership.

What Will You Do?

  • Provide relevant analysis and support to sales teams, including standard revenue and instrument demonstration reporting
  • Provide forecasting digital support for over $100M worth of instrument sales to commercial leaders
  • Ability to apply global resources to build relevant dashboards across global commercial teams
  • Analyze sales data with precision to identify gaps or inconsistencies and collaborate with teams for resolution.
  • Build and oversee Commercial Sales incentive program. Set guidelines, develop tracking methods, analyze and report results, and submit payouts to Compensation as needed.
  • Collaborate with peer team to support and build efficient reporting dashboards for internal processes.
  • Extract, transform and integrate data from multiple internal and external data sources
  • Develop and maintain forecast and sales performance dashboards within Power BI
  • Continuously embrace methods for increased automation
  • Bring an innovative, determined spirit to crafting new analytics/tools that drive insight and efficiency
  • Proactively find opportunities for process improvements and serve as data expert in new process formation to identify issues and complications
  • Drive training and use of available analytics tools to help selling teams better manage and grow their business
How Will You Get There?

Education
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, preferably in a field requiring extensive analytical skills
Experience
  • 5+ years of professional work experience, preferably in sales operations or related function
  • Experience in Life Sciences preferred
  • Data visualization experience with Power BI
  • Experience with Salesforce
  • Experience with EDW/Cognos reporting
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
  • Strong analytical, critical thinking and communication skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and proactively identify problems and complications
  • Ability to excel in highly-matrix environment
  • Excellent analytical and planning skills with the ability to learn quickly
  • Ability to understand/develop processes that use multiple inputs and data sources to transform information into a user-friendly report
  • Ability to synthesize large amounts of data into concise and useful take-aways; ability to identify key trends and variances accurately
  • Able to multi-task effectively, bringing a strong sense of "customer service", a strong responsiveness ethic and an aim to achieve accurate results
  • Deep knowledge of Power BI, Excel, PowerPoint, Microsoft Forms
  • Desire and ability to embrace new reporting platforms, as needed

Compensation and Benefits
The salary range estimated for this position based in California is $103,100.00-$154,700.00.

This position may also be eligible to receive a variable annual bonus based on company, team, and/or individual performance results in accordance with company policy. We offer a comprehensive Total Rewards package that our U.S. colleagues and their families can count on, which includes:
