RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client that is seeking a Staff Accountant in Easton, MD.Job Summary:We are seeking a detail-oriented and dedicated Staff Accountant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining financial records, preparing reports, and ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.Key Responsibilities:- Staff Accountant will prepare and maintain financial records, including general ledger entries, accounts payable and receivable, and payroll
- Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
- Perform reconciliations of bank accounts and other balance sheet accounts
- Support the month-end and year-end close processes
- Ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting policies
- As a Staff Accountant, you will assist with audits and provide necessary documentation and support
- Analyze financial data and provide insights to management
- Participate in budgeting and forecasting activities
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- 2+ years of experience in accounting or a related field
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP) and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel
- Strong understanding of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles)
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
