We have an opportunity for a Systems Engineer supporting one of our government customers in Aurora, CO.

MINIMUM CLEARANCE LEVEL: Secret or Tier 3 (T3)

LOCATION: Aurora, CO.

Position Description:
The Systems Engineer will be responsible for assisting in Design, test, upgrade and integrate new or existing infrastructure platforms in accordance to the organization's business requirements. Document all aspects of the engineering process as it relates to build and configuration, testing, and deployment of infrastructure platforms. Coordinate changes such as implementation of new infrastructure platforms, upgrades or version increments to existing platforms with system administrators and stakeholders. Plans, coordinates, and implements security measures to safeguard infrastructure platforms. Performs infrastructure platform modeling, analysis, and planning. Coordinates with architecture and evaluates new and emerging infrastructure platform technologies and make recommendations for selection of these products. Assists system administrators with complex troubleshooting issues and if needed coordinates vendor engagements to assist in troubleshooting efforts. May provide day-to-day operational or administrative duties for deployed infrastructure platforms in lab or production environments. Possesses and applies expertise on multiple complex work assignments. Ability to work with other senior technical and user staff to complete projects. Operates with appreciable latitude in developing methodology and presenting solutions to problems. Ability to work with other senior technical and user staff to complete projects.

Functional Responsibility:

• Design, test, upgrade and integrate new or existing information networks such as local area networks (LAN), Wireless Local Area Network (WLAN), Wide Area Networks (WAN), Voice over IP (VoIP), intranets, extranets, and other communications networks in accordance to the organization's business requirements.
• Document all aspects of the engineering process as it relates to build and configuration, testing, and deployment of networks.
• Coordinate changes such as implementation of new networks, upgrades or version increments to existing networks with network administrators and stakeholders.
• Plans, coordinates, and implements security measures to safeguard new and existing networks. Knowledge of centralized mobile device management and maintenance, combining security and management solutions for devices, applications, data, and content by:

(a) Enabling IT to track and manage wireless devices

(b) Improving security, integration, and mobile application adoption

(c) Securely managing mobile devices and platforms

(d) Increasing access to data, applications, and services

Educational Requirements/ Qualifications:

• Minimum of 6 years of relevant work experience in similar roles
• Bachelor's degree and/or Equivalent work experience

One of the following IAT Level II Certifications:

• CCNA-Security
• CySA+ **Formerly CSA+
• GICSP
• GSEC
• Security+ CE
• CND
• SSCP
