Tax Assistant

Our client, an educational technology company located in southern New Hampshire, is seeking a Tax Assistant to join their team for 3 months. The hours for this role are 9am to 5pm, and it is compensating up to $27 an hour, depending on experience. Responsibilities:

• Process and manage payments and filings to ensure timely submission.
• Handle sales tax exemptions, ensuring all procedures and guidelines are followed.
• Process and respond to tax notices in a timely and efficient manner.
• Liaise with state departments regarding payments and notices to maintain compliance.
• Provide administrative support to the finance team as needed.
• Assist with scheduling meetings for executives and clerical work as needed.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in a similar role is preferred.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive and confidential information.
• Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
