The Team Lead Trainee will assist the Continuous Improvement Manager, Value Stream Manager and Team Lead, learning all aspects of the manufacturing processes, team development processes, and other Team Lead responsibilities at the Chatham, Virginia hardwood plywood facility. The Team Lead Trainee will be required to develop an understanding of the Lean Systems and Tools (Columbia Way). This person will be required to use good Job Relations and Leadership skills to work with, develop, and grow the team in the Columbia Way Philosophy.
Learn and apply knowledge of the 8 Wastes to the production process; learn and apply 5S & Visual Control standards; learn and create standard work; learn and incorporate Job Relations and Job Instructions..
Support all safety efforts. Learn and promote quality standards. Learn and actively complete problem solving tasks as assigned.
