The Role: Temporary Supervisor, Accounting - Revenue

The Revenue Team is seeking an accountant with supervisory experience to deliver high quality work to meet broader team objectives with minimal oversight and direction. This person will apply their foundational knowledge and skills to contribute to innovative solutions. This person will be responsible for preparing and reviewing accounting estimates, journal entries, reconciliations, and account analysis/reporting associated with revenue recognition as well as determining accounting treatment for contracts. The ideal candidate will have experience working in accounting system software, monthly G/L close processes, financial analysis, and an understanding of advanced accounting principles (including ASC 606-Revenue Recognition and ASC 326-CECL). This position will report to the Sr. Manager, Revenue Accounting and will collaborate with various teams in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
What You'll Do
- Review contracts to understand revenue recognition implications and propose accounting treatment.
- Prepare and review monthly revenue journal entries, including revenue recognition, CECL allowance, accruals, and adjustments.
- Manage selected balance sheet and income statement accounts, including performing monthly analytical review.
- Prepare and review various monthly and ad hoc reporting.
- Contribute to audit and tax preparation by providing requested documentation and analysis.
- Drive continued process improvement to create repeatable and consistent best practices that enable scale.
What You'll Bring:
- Progressive accounting experience including JE and reconciliation review for mid/large size, global or fast-growing companies and university degree in Accounting, Finance or equivalent subject area required.
- Strong understanding of GAAP with expertise in ASC 606 and ASC 326 preferred.
- Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables and advanced formulas, with ability to learn and apply new technology quickly. Power query proficiency a plus.
- ERP experience with Oracle preferred. Salesforce and ServiceNow previous experience preferred.
- Ability to work effectively across all levels and layers of the organization using exceptional communications skills.

Slalom is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. For this position, the targeted hourly pay range is $40/hr to $50/hr. In addition, individuals may be eligible for an annual discretionary bonus. Actual compensation will depend upon an individual's skills, experience, qualifications, location, and other relevant factors. The salary range is subject to change and may be modified at any time.
