Mid-sized firm is seeking a dedicated and tech-savvy Transactional Legal Secretary to join their esteemed and long-standing San Diego team. The firm offers a supportive and well-developed team environment. The ideal Legal Secretary will be friendly, adaptable, and ready to jump in to this unique opportunity, supporting the partner with high-profile client estates and an interesting mix of Trust & Estates, Tax, and Corporate law matters. The Transactional Legal Secretary role provides a competitive salary range of $65,000 to $80,000, with excellent benefits.
Key Responsibilities:

E-filing and Calendaring: Manage electronic filing of legal documents and oversee the attorneys' calendars to ensure deadlines are met. Proficiency in calendar management is essential.

Document Preparation: Assist the partner in preparing complex legal documents from scratch, without templates, due to the high-profile nature of the clients and the complexity of their estates.

Proofreading and Grammar: Accurately proofread and ensure all documents adhere to grammatical rules and standards.

Legal Administrative Duties: Handle various administrative tasks with minimal supervision, including document preparation, correspondence, and client communications.
Qualifications:
- At least 2 years of experience in a legal secretary or administrative role within a law firm, with a focus on transactional law.
- Familiarity with e-filing systems, document management, and calendaring software.
- Strong understanding of legal procedures and administrative duties.
- Excellent proofreading and grammatical skills.
- Comfortable with technology and able to quickly learn new software and tools.
- Long-term focus and excited about the role, not prone to frequent job changes.
