The Property/Warehouse Manager is responsible for managing and overseeing the receipt, distribution, management, and loss control of all Center property and equipment. This role involves maintaining inventory levels, re-ordering supplies, and ensuring compliance with government regulations. The position requires effective management of staff and coordination with various departments to ensure accurate tracking and disposal of property.
Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee the authorized staff and activities of the Center property/logistics functional area
- Conduct interviews, recommend hires, discipline, and evaluate the performance of employees in the property area
- Coordinate with designated property custodians to manage and control the Center's accountable property program
- Conduct Center-wide training on property procedures
- Participate in meetings with Finance, Property, and Purchasing to address vendor issues
- Conduct official annual certification for accountable property
- Ensure effective control of ordering, warehousing, and distribution of expendable property
- Manage the receiving of all goods arriving at the Center and ensure the integrity of related paperwork
- Conduct periodic physical inventory of all Center property and reconcile with property records
- Mentor and develop staff for career progression and address performance concerns
QualificationsQUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE Associate of Arts Degree from an accredited school required. Bachelor's Degree from an accredited school preferred. Experience with Federal Government property and inventory requirements, warehousing and inventory control preferred. Supervisory experience preferred. Must possess a valid in-State Driver's License and meet Company insurability requirements. Requires computer literacy in word processing and Microsoft Office Suite of applications.
Physical requirements include sitting, standing, climbing, walking, lifting, pulling and/or pushing, carrying, reaching, stooping and crouching. Demonstrates the ability to lift 40 pounds and/or the ability to assess the lift load in order to ask for necessary assistance.
