Hawthorne Gardening Company is seeking a talented Web Developer with WordPress experience, strong front-end design/user experience skills and a deep understanding of SEO & web traffic analytics. As a member of our web development team, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining multiple websites for our industry leading brands. Day-to-day work will involve collaboration with large cross-functional groups to ensure each site is visually appealing, highly functional and an accurate representation of each brand's identity.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and customize WordPress websites using themes, plugins, and custom code.
  
• Design and implement front-end user interfaces using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and other relevant technologies.
  
• Optimize websites for maximum speed, scalability, and SEO.
  
• Collaborate with designers, content creators, and marketers to ensure website functionality aligns with business goals.
  
• Monitor and analyze site performance metrics, SEO rankings, and user behavior using tools such as Google Analytics.
  
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to website functionality and performance.
  
• Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in web development, accessibility and SEO.
  

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a WordPress Developer with a strong portfolio of WordPress websites.
  
• Proficiency in front-end technologies including HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and responsive design principles.
  
• Expertise in WordPress theme and plugin development, customization, and integration.
  
• Solid understanding of SEO best practices and experience optimizing websites for search engines.
  
• Experience with web analytics tools such as Google or Adobe Analytics to track site metrics and user behavior.
  
• Knowledge of web accessibility standards and best practices.
  
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot issues quickly.
  
• Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with fellow developers.
  

The starting budgeted pay range for this role will generally fall between $96,800.00 - $113,900.00. Hawthorne will consider various factors in determining the actual pay including your skills, qualifications, experience, and geographical location.
